Thorn Energy Partnership celebrates growth milestone with new reward scheme

Thorn Energy Partnership (TEP) is an exciting venture between Thorn and lighting professionals which aims to promote energy efficiency without sacrificing good lighting performance. In just two months, more than 125 partners have signed up so to celebrate, Thorn has launched a new reward scheme to recognise the biggest contributors to the overall commitment to save 25,000 tonnes of CO2 by 2015.  

The TEP now offers four levels of achievement:

Level 1

TEP Partner

All successful TEP applicants become a TEP Partner, reflecting their commitment to achieving good quality, energy efficient lighting. TEP Partners are supported with a 2-year certified training programme. This training ensures partners are equipped with the breadth and depth of knowledge required to successfully implement energy saving schemes with a quick, attractive pay back. TEP Partners also receive other benefits, including a starter park and access to exclusive local events and networking opportunities.

Level 2

Bronze

To reach the Bronze level, TEP Partners must individually report two complete projects into our portal (tep.thornlighting.com). Based on one of these projects, Thorn will produce a case study for the partner and the TEP to use for promotional purposes. For extra recognition and credibility, all Bronze partners will be listed as a 'Recommended Installer for Energy Efficiency'.

Level 3

Silver

In the next level up, Silver partners must individually report six full projects into our portal or contribute at least one project towards a network that saves 100,000kg of CO2(in this scenario the complete network gains silver status). Up to two of these projects will be chosen by Thorn and developed into case studies for use by the partner and the TEP for promotional purposes.

All Silver partners will gain recognition and credibility through a TEP Silver partner certificate and 'Recommended Installer for Energy Efficiency' listing. They will also receive significant exposure to maximise sales opportunities through publicity in the TEP portal, on the Thorn website and in the trade press. Silver partners will additionally gain valuable PR exposure with the opportunity to engage in thought leadership interviews.

Level 4

Gold

To reach Gold, the highest level, partners must individually report a total CO2 saving of 30,000kg into our portal. All Gold partners will receive the upper most recognition and credibility through exclusive PR exposure, including the opportunity to engage in promotional interviews, provide a guest speaker at a TEP event and attend Thorn's annual expert conference.

As well as project specific case studies, Thorn will produce a company specific insight article for use by the partner, and on the TEP portal and website. All Gold partners will receive a desk/wall plaque and a 'Recommended Installer for Energy Efficiency' listing.

Wolfgang Bernecker, Business Initiatives Manager and TEP project leader says: "The Bronze to Gold scheme enables our highest achievers to be recognised and celebrated. Of course, it will also provide an important point of differentiation for customers searching for lighting professionals.

"We are expecting our most active TEP Partners to achieve Bronze within as little as six months, and Silver within approximately 18 months. Gold will take a little longer, typically two years plus.

"The response to the TEP has been fantastic and we are delighted to see first success stories for our partners and end customers directly after our first kick off seminars. By the end of the next fiscal year, we expect to have more than 800 TEP Partners, including specifiers, installers and contractors."
